Supported Employment

Designed to complement our training and pre-employment programs as well as provide services to adults with developmental disabilities who do not attend Clover Valley Centre, our Supported Employment Services promote and inclusion and accessibility to the workplace by assisting individuals to attain and maintain employment within their community.  Many of our participants have completed high school and/or college training programs and are ready to take on greater challenge through employment.  Our goal is to match each participant’s skill and interest level to that of a prospective employee to ensure a productive and beneficial relationship to both.  For those individuals not quite ready for the responsibilities of employment we match their skills to various volunteer opportunities and work with them to maximize their skill level in what ever area is of interest.

Our Supported Employment Service can provide employers with pre-screened, trained employees.  We will work with employers to match the skills and work preferences of each candidate to the skills required for the position to ensure a successful placement.

We will provide a Job Trainer who accompanies newly hired employees to the work site and monitors production, quality control and performance.  Once work requirements are established, our staff will maintain contact with employers to provide additional support as necessary.  If an employee’s job description changes due to promotion or reorganization, our Job Trainer will also assist with any retraining required.
