Respite Services Family Support The Surrey Association for Community Living Family Services Team is available to provide overall support to all families with inclusive opportunities in the community. This support includes education, service delivery or any concern that needs to be addressed. The team provides information and resources and makes referrals to other agencies. Respite Respite is defined as planned care, provided out of the natural home, for the purpose of providing relief from the daily responsibilities of caring for a person with special needs. In addition, respite is used to enhance one’s recreation and leisure opportunities. (Click on the Family Handbook to the left for further details.) We are able to provide respite services to families for both adults and children by: 1) SACL offers a fee for service through direct or private funding.
