Clover Valley

Clover Valley operates both training and recreational programs for adults. Currently over 50 individuals attend either on a full time or part time basis.

Training Opportunities

Individuals have an opportunity to work at a variety of tasks to enhance and develop their pre-employment skills.  Activities can include shrink wrapping, mail preparation ((collating, stuffing and sealing), hand packaging and assembly work.  Individuals are encouraged to explore opportunities for work experience, employment or volunteer work as their skills develop.

Recreational Opportunities

A variety of activities are offered, depending upon the interests of the individuals.  Each activity offers opportunities for skill development and recreation.  Recent programs have included seasonal crafts, drama, computer knowledge, meal preparation, health and safety, woodworking, recycling and seasonal activities.

In the spring and winter Clover Valley holds its annual Garage sales which include selling handmade craft items; a quilt hand made by the individuals is  raffled and a silent auction is held. All proceeds go into the individual’s fund.

Seasons

Recently, Clover Valley proudly announced the opening of “Seasons” a store front program operated by Surrey Association for Community living along with support from Cloverdale Business Improvement Association and the Cloverdale District Chamber of Commerce. Throughout the year, handmade crafts will be available for special occasions such as Mother’s Day and with the seasons’ changes. Custom orders may also be possible. All proceeds go into the individual’s fund.

Many Individuals who participate at Clover Valley receive funding through Community Living BC, however, participants may also attend based on a fee for service.
